Now, as CEO of Emergency Medical Resources, LLC, he is a consultant to and representative for a variety of tactical and emergency care equipment manufacturers as well as being involved with the US military. For several years in the 1990s, Clinchy served as a board member of the Special Operations Medical Association and remains a life member of that organization. For almost thirteen years, Clinchy was a volunteer with the US Coast Guard Auxiliary with his service ending in 2011 as Chief of Staff, Coastal Region 8th Coast Guard District. He had previously served as the Cheif of the National Education Department of the Auxiliary as well as Director of the National Marketing Group and developer of the original Coast Guard Waterway Watch program that focused on maritime domain awareness following 9-11. He also served as an instrutor-trainer for HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) and as an instrutor for the Coast Guard's Team Coordination Training.
