Initially developed as a medical care training program for the US National Park Service in the US Virgin Islands in the mid-80's, Dive/First Responder™ was first published by Mosby-Lifeline in 1995.  In 2007, the program will reemerge as a course to be taught to SCUBA instructors, dive masters, and advanced divers.

• The Instructor Tool Kit for Dive/First Responder™
• Dive First Responder, 2nd edition (late 2007)

When released, the Dive/First Responder™ Program will include:

• Establishment of the Dive/First Responders™, a not-for-profit oragnization that will issue certificates in conjunction with the Dive/First Responder Program
• Criteria for teachers of the program
• Guidelines for successful completion of the program
• Certification as a Dive/First Responder™

Through the International Association of Dive/First Responders™, those completing the program will be able to purchase Dive/First Responder™ logo items as well as the Dive/First Responder™ oxygen system.

Coming late 2007: International Association of Dive First Responders LLC, will be releasing the Dive/First Responder® training program for SCUBA professionals.
